Connecting the SMART Board<\/h1>\n \t\t
\r\n \t\t\tHow do I hook this thing up?<\/span> \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

    \n
  • Plug “VGA” cable into computer – connects you to the projector<\/li>\n
  • Plug in “USB” cable from the Smartboard – make the Smartboard interactive<\/li>\n
  • Plug in Sound cable – gives you sound Calibrate – hold the two buttons at the front of the board down
    \n(If you want better Calibration, change the Orient settings as explained on page 2 of this Smart Board guide)<\/li>\n
  • Ask IT for help in getting connected if you need it.<\/li>\n
  • Ask Digital Learning Coaches for help using the board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

    Looking after the SmartBoard<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • The board is fairly\u00a0durable, but some care must still be used.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • You can use dry-erase markers on the surface. Erase dry-erase ink from the writing surface as soon as possible. The longer dry-erase ink remains, the more difficult it is to remove.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Use an alcohol-free household glass cleaner, such as Windex\u00ae glass cleaner, to clean the writing surface.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Lightly spray cleaner on a cloth, and then gently wipe the screen.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • If you can still see ink marks after cleaning the surface with Windex glass cleaner, use a dry-erase marker cleaner, such as Sanford Expo whiteboard cleaner.\u00a0<\/span>For stubborn stains, use isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to clean the writing surface.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
