This article will show you how to find your secondary student blogs. You can do this in two ways; by using a query called “My Students Blogs” or by using “Netvibes”<\/p>\n

“My Students – Blogs” Query<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This query will give you a list of all your students and a URL preview of each blog.<\/strong> This is recommended if you want to just view a set of students’ blogs. You can\u00a0choose to read each blog directly from the query or visit the blog site directly to make a post. You can visit a students blog from the query by clicking on the “open in new window” button(can be found at the top right corner).<\/p>\n

You can find the “My Students – Blogs<\/a>” query by logging into Veracross faculty portal and looking under the student queries section(can be found at bottom right of faculty portal)<\/p>\n

Netvibes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Netvibes is a visual dashboard that we use to view recent posts made by students by homeroom group in order to keep up to date with students’ blog posts.\u00a0<\/strong>This is recommended if you want to assign students to make a blog post then want to see that specifically titled post across a whole class of students.<\/p>\n

You can access Netvibes from the NIST Blogs<\/a>\u00a0page, which can be found by logging into Veracross staff portal and looking under the News menu item.<\/p>\n

\"nistblogshomepage\"Here is an example of what Netvibes looks like. You can navigate students blogs by homeroom by using the the homeroom tabs at the top. Whenever there is a new blog post, each tab and tile will have a notification icon. This notification icon will indicate how many blogs have new posts. Blog posts that have been read will be grayed out.<\/p>\n
