This post is aimed at classroom teachers who happen to want to stream a live event in their\u00a0classrooms. This is the easiest to set up as all it requires is an iPad or smartphone and a tripod. Please let your leadership team know about the event prior to doing the streaming to ensure that we have covered child safeguarding.<\/p>\n

For\u00a0major school-related events, streaming\u00a0should be requested via your Head of School Section.<\/p>\n

Streaming to Facebook<\/span><\/h1>\n
    \n
  1. Go to \u201cFacebook\u201d app. (You can get it on the App Store)<\/span>

  2. At the main page. Tap \u201cLive\u201d button on the top of page.<\/span>

  3. Setup Stream Event Detail of your event.<\/span>

  4. Then, Press Camera icon to go Live!<\/span>
    \n    \"image1\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Streaming to Youtube<\/span><\/h1>\n
      \n
    1. Open website <\/span>www.youtube.com<\/span><\/a> on laptop and login with your NIST account. (Login if required)<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Click on picture profile at the top-right corner and click on Creator Studio.<\/span>
      \n<\/span>

    3. Click on Live Streaming tab on the left side.<\/span>
      \n<\/span>

    4. Scroll down. In Basic info tab > Privacy Choose public to let everyone access to your livestream or Unlisted to let certain people with our link to access your livestream.<\/span>

    5. Get the Server URL and <\/span>Stream name\/key<\/b> from Encoder setup tab. (You will need these on the iPad in a few minutes.)<\/span>

    6. At the bottom-right corner you will get Share URL (Live URL)<\/span>
      \n      \"image10\"<\/a><\/li>\n
    7. If you want to backup your livestream into your channel. Check on Enable DVR in Stream options tab.<\/span>

      Now we have<\/span>
      \n<\/span>– Server URL<\/span>
      \n<\/span>– Stream name\/Key<\/span>
      \n<\/span>– Share name (Share URL for anyone who want to see your live.)<\/span><\/p>\n

      On iPad Device<\/b><\/p>\n

      1. Get then open \u201cLive Now\u201d app. (you can get it on the App Store.)<\/span>

      2. You will see the 3 blank spaces (as pictures below). Enter as below detail<\/span>

        1. Stream server : <\/span> rtmp:\/\/a.rtmp.youtube.com\/live2<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. Stream name\/key : <\/span> Enter your Stream name\/key<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. Share live URL : <\/span> Leave<\/span> Blank<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. Press \u201cGO LIVE\u201d to start live stream. Now you can share your URL to your participant. <\/span><\/li>\n
        5. And when you want to end the live. Press Stop button.<\/span>
