Here’s a (sort of) quick, how-to guide for Creative Commons\u00a0image citation using Flickr and your iPad. It might seem a bit involved, but, it’s important that we are aware that the images our students\u00a0use from the internet always come from\u00a0somewhere\u00a0<\/em> and they\u00a0need to be giving proper credit to the creators. For this reason, we will use Flickr and the Creative Commons (ie. ‘free’) image search.
\nThe key to remember here is that you paste in the URL of the picture BEFORE<\/strong><\/span> you actually save the image.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1) Head to\u00a0http:\/\/search.creativecommons.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n

2) Choose Flickr from the options below.<\/p>\n

3) Un-check the two options under the search field.<\/p>\n

4) Type in your search term.<\/p>\n

5) After tapping on the image you’d like to use, tap the Share icon at the bottom.<\/p>\n

6) Then choose ‘Grab the link’.<\/p>\n

7) Check the ‘Use short URL’ box.<\/p>\n

8) Copy your link and then paste it into\u00a0Blogsy.<\/p>\n

9) Now, to save the photo, click the ‘…’ icon in the bottom right and choose ‘View all sizes’.<\/p>\n

10) Tap and hold on the\u00a0photo and choose ‘Save Image’.<\/p>\n

11) Go back to Blogsy and paste your image above the URL you copied earlier and you’re done!<\/p>\n
