{"id":2860,"date":"2014-11-14T13:42:57","date_gmt":"2014-11-14T13:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.nist.ac.th\/eleict\/?p=2860"},"modified":"2017-03-09T03:40:32","modified_gmt":"2017-03-09T03:40:32","slug":"what-is-the-purpose-of-blogs-twitter-nistschool","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nist.ac.th\/technology\/knowledge-base\/what-is-the-purpose-of-blogs-twitter-nistschool\/","title":{"rendered":"What Is the Purpose of Blogs &amp; Social Media @NISTschool?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aren&#8217;t social media and blogging just more things to think about in our already full days?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well, the reality is that we are now living in a\u00a0technologically pervasive world, and as such, it is our responsibility to empower all stakeholders in the learning community (including ourselves!) by underpinning our practice with the attitudes, aptitudes and skills needed for 21st-century learning. But it&#8217;s 2014&#8230;can&#8217;t we rebrand &#8220;21st-century skills&#8221;? Hmmm&#8230;how about we call them:<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>New Skool Skillz<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div class=\"issuuembed\" style=\"width: 525px; height: 679px; text-align: justify;\" data-configid=\"1839706\/10144903\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><script src=\"\/\/e.issuu.com\/embed.js\" async=\"true\" type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We help learners develop these skillz in a myriad of ways during our teaching and learning cycle!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, two initiatives that NIST has taken on to help engender an environment in which we develop the above skills are blogs and social media.
