Digital Tech Tip – Google PhotoScan

Google PhotoScan is a very useful Smartphone app for those wanting to transfer images from the physical to the digital world without the glare nor the hassle of using a scanner; for example, it even scans pictures without taking photos out of photo albums or posters off walls. The app uses technology that scans multiple images and then stitches them together. The final image can be colour adjusted and uploaded to Google Photos. No doubt there are numerous opportunities for classroom use, but here are 3: scan student artwork for a portfolio, capture posters on walls for class discussion, take a pictures of a magazine covers as examples of page layout design.
