Google Calendar and Veracross Guide for Students

Last week you were introduced to Google Calendar, imported your class schedule, and learned how to setup meetings with your teachers.

Today you’ll learn a few more tricks that will make Google Calendar even more useful as your primary organizational tool.

By the end of this session, you’ll be able to see your assignment due dates, customize how Calendar notifies you of events, and see which day of the A-F cycle you are in.

1) Watch this video first. It will show you how to access Google Calendar and how to subscribe to your All Assignments calendar from VeraCross. This will show all projects due in your VeraCross Gradebook. Please have VeraCross open in a separate tab before proceeding!

2) This video will show you how to set default notifications in your ALL ASSIGNMENTS calendar so you get reminders of upcoming assessments:

4) If there is time left over you might consider adding Google Calendar to your phone so you can stay organized even without your laptop. The Google Calendar app can be found on both the App Store (for iPhones) and the Google Play Store (for Android devices).
