Basics
Veracross: Login & Homepage
This is an overview video with login details, parts of the homepage, key areas, messages, calendar, schedule, etc.

- Search for a student or staff member – Go to the faculty or staff portal, locate the Search tool at the top of the page, and type any part of the person’s name in the field. A list will pop up showing all students and staff that match that name. Click on the person that you wanted to find.
- Today page for each student – Once you have located a student there are many pages of information. One of those pages is Today. It has their full schedule for today and any attendance that has already been entered.
Login as a Student
- Teachers can login as students.
- In the username field of Veracross login screen, simply put your username followed by a slash then the student username. Use your own password.

Communications & Community
- Communications: Veracross news articles <need video to explain>
- Veracross directories to find people – Veracross has student, household, and staff & faculty directories for all community members. These directories are refreshed automatically each night. You can search for individuals and find their contact information if they have chosen to display it.
Calendars/Events
- Veracross: Calendar – stripe calendar is a five day window into your personally filtered calendar. If you click an event, you will see details.
- Veracross: Calendar – Each person in Veracross can see a detailed and filtered calendar based on their role in the school. You can change from month, to week or even day view. Additionally there are several more public calendars such as School, Athletic, and Birthday.

- Veracross: Academics – Entering and viewing report cards is done on the Grades & Comments tab of each of your classes. There is a button to see a preview of the actual report card. Report cards are proofread by colleagues using a dept or team based approach. Details will come from your coordinator.
Attendance
- Secondary Attendance during Online Learning 2021
- Teachers take attendance at the start of the day. Entering or taking attendance is done on the Attendance tab of each of your classes in Veracross. All secondary classes and ELE world language classes and ECAs also do this for each period of the day.
- Veracross: Attendance report per class. Very handy one page view of the whole class attendance summary of absences and lates for your class.
- Veracross Student Attendance Detail Report Explained: This is a report that shows Master (Daily) attendance as well as all details of all classes by semester.
Extra-Curricular Activities
- Veracross: ECA attendance is taken each meeting using the Attendance tab of the class.
- Instrumental involvement for your students is in a query called My Students – Instrumental Lessons (in some classes, you will also see the attendance page filled with details about the student missing part of that class for a music lesson.
